Welcome to Pottr. By using our app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Pottr, in compliance with Australian law. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One account per person.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page within the app.
3. Content You Create
You retain ownership of the content you create on Pottr, including photos, library entries, posts, comments, and messages.
By posting content on Pottr, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Pottr platform. This licence ends when you delete your content or account.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to post any content you share.
4. Community Guidelines
To keep Pottr a safe and welcoming community, the following content and behaviour is prohibited:
- Harassment and bullying — intimidation, threats, or targeted abuse of other users
- Hate speech — content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability
- Sexually explicit content — nudity or sexual content of any kind
- Violence — graphic violence, threats of violence, or content promoting self-harm
- Child exploitation — any content involving the exploitation of minors. We report such content to the relevant authorities including the Australian eSafety Commissioner
- Spam — misleading content, excessive self-promotion, or automated posting
- Impersonation — pretending to be another person or organisation
- Illegal activity — content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or ban accounts that violate these guidelines.
5. Reporting
If you encounter content or behaviour that violates these guidelines, please report it using the report function in the app. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
For urgent safety concerns, contact the Australian eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au.
6. Subscriptions
Pottr offers a free tier and a premium subscription (Kiln Club).
- Free tier — 20 combined library and saved entries, feed access with ads, explore access
- Premium (Kiln Club) — $6.99 AUD/month or $66.99 AUD/year. Unlimited entries, no ads, direct messaging, personalised explore
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Pricing and billing are managed by Apple or Google, and their terms apply to payment processing.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
If your subscription lapses, your account reverts to the free tier. Your data is not deleted — you simply cannot add new entries beyond the free tier limit until you resubscribe.
7. Intellectual Property
The Pottr name, logo, design, and app code are owned by Pottr. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without permission.
User-generated content remains the property of the user who created it.
8. Limitation of Liability
Pottr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Content posted by other users
- Data loss due to technical failures (though we take reasonable precautions)
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Pottr
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. All your data will be permanently deleted.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice. In the case of serious violations, termination may be immediate.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Pottr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Pottr are subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
